The most wonderful time of the year...

Christmas time this year was awesome. We were able to go see Vince's family in Rochester area and then go to NYC for a day! I've never been and to say I was excited is an understatement! We left Kenslee with his parents for the day and headed out. I thought I was going to be a lot more sad, but it actually ended up being great. (that sounds bad. lol) There was no way we could have taken her since we were soooo busy that day. Here are some things we saw:

After NYC we went back to Vince's family and stayed with them a while longer.

We sure do miss them already!
Now we are back to the day to day grime. Vince is working full time, going to school full time and volunteering for the Fire Department. He loves it and I'm glad he is happy. Kenslee is growing up so fast and I really can't get enough of her. She is SO much fun. She talks SO much now, and is usually pretty happy. She has started pulling the funniest faces lately (see previous picture). I just love her so much.

I'm way behind and now that Vince has been able to be home more often,
we are actually going out and doing things!

Last week we went to Cabela's for our (mine and Kenslee's) first time.
It is such a cool store and I had no idea.

Then these pictures are from nursery one day.
I just thought she looked so cute after church one day and couldn't help but get a picture of her.

Last Saturday the zoo had trick or treating.
We thought it would be fun to go since we hadn't been to the Hogle Zoo yet, and plus Kenslee could wear her costume!
It was a blast!

And then here are just some photos I think she is so cute in! I bought a new outfit for her last week and she is just everything to me.

Her new thing to do is "say prayers" :)

Then we had Halloween.
Kenslee LOVED trick or treating.
She thought it was sooo cool going from door to door and getting candy put in her bucket.
She would just stair at it till the next house.
We went for quite a while.
I'll admit, we wanted candy (as I sit here typing and eating it).

Am I Alive...

YES! I am. I've been so busy lately with babysitting (two boys three times a week, all day) and working for someone on a blog (Mommy Models Blog). Time just flies when you are busy! Last week I was able to have my mom come into town. It was SO awesome having her here. We are SPOILED! Kenslee was picked up every second she wanted to be :) and I got to go shopping with her. What more could I ask for??

One day we will live close together! Kenslee is getting SO big. I can't believe how time is flying. She will be 16 months next week! She honestly is the funniest little girl ever! She talks NON STOP baby talk, smiles so big, and waves to EVERYONE in site and says "HI!" :) She is just so happy. I can't believe she is all mine (and Vince's lol).

Oh and she LOVES to put on her clothes. She is constantly taking clothes out of her room to put on. If there is anything on the floor, she will be wearing it shortly after.

We had a little birthday party for Kenslee and it was a blast.
She was spoiled, and we had fun BBQing as well.

Last week we also went to Colorado for the week for Vince's Family Reunion.
I love Colorado!
Vince went ATVing, and on a hike up to 14,000 feet!
We also went zip-lining together.
It was so great to be with family and eat tons of food :)

In other news, my brother Jake left on his mission last Wednesday.
He is going to the Czech, Prague Mission.
I'm so proud of him.
We got our first email yesterday and he seems to be doing great!

I think that is about it.
We are staying busy!

It seems like yesterday I was pregnant.

Wisconsin

This last week we were able to go to Wisconsin to visit my family.
I had so much fun and want to go back so bad.
My family spoiled us.
We did so many things and I loved every minute.

Kenslee LOVED my parents.
I really thought she was going to be shy but within hours she was hooked.

One day we went to the fair.

I didn't get any pictures, but Vince also went golfing and fishing.
He caught 10 fish!

On the last day we had a birthday party for Kenslee.
It was important that we had it at my Grandmas because that is where my first birthday was!

I just love my family so much.
They spoiled us.
They watched Kenslee while we went out,
bought LOADS of food for us, and had a new toy for Kenslee
everyday she was there!
It was wonderful.
My mom really is my best friend.
I don't know what I would do without her.
Hopefully one day we will live closer together.

Honestly, I hate blogging.
That sounds horrible, but I do.
It's the last thing I want to do after a long day...but I want to have
the memories, so I need to suck it up, and get it done!
One day, I'll be so happy I have this since I don't keep a journal.

Easter was low key this year.
It was so much fun to have Kenslee of course.
She makes everything fun.

Mothers Day was also very nice.
I got flowers and candy from my wonderful husband.
And Kenslee spoiled me with toms
(lol or maybe I spoiled myself...either way)
It was wonderful.

Kenslee loves to ride her new horsey.

I couple weeks ago we went up Provo Canyon for a
walk because it was such a beautiful day.
We loved it.

So I just wanted to upload some recent pictures since nothing exciting is happening around here.

Vince is still working non stop and going to school.
I'm still at home with Kenslee and loving it.
Although I am looking for an at home job to fill some of my time.
Plus we could really use the money.
Other than that, life is fantastic.

Well you spoil them of course. :)
We just wanted to buy everything we haven't been able to buy her yet.
It was so much fun shopping for her this last weekend.
Vince and I felt so lucky buying her stuff!

I didn't believe people when they said shopping for your baby is so much better than shopping for yourself...
but I'm a believer now.
It really is the best!

8 Months

Time sure is flying.
I can't believe Kenslee is 8 months old.
Probably the best 8 months of my life though :)
This age is the BEST.
She has such a personality and I love it.
She still doesn't crawl and I don't mind one bit.
I love that I can put her on the floor and go take a shower and know she will be in the same spot when I get out!
She is usually pretty happy most of the time.
She sleeps through the night (minus the last few nights!)
Takes two naps a day.
It is the best making her laugh or smile.
She is about 20lbs :D and 27 inches long.
I'm so looking forward to summer so we can get out of the house on some walks.
She LOVES to be outside.
She is still my everything!

California Trip

Last week we went to California for my brothers wedding. It was a BLAST! I just love being with my family and friends. And what better place then in my home town :) Here are some pictures from the trip.

We went to San Francisco for the day and ate at yummy Ghirardelli's Ice Cream!

Shane and Kelsey's Wedding was last Saturday. It turned out PERFECT! I can't believe some of the things Kelsey thought of. I loved it!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was great this year.
We went up to Vince's Grandparents and ate a WONDERFUL meal.
I don't know if I will ever be able to pull off a good meal for Thanksgiving on my own.
Before we went up to Bountiful, we tried looking for some open stores (we don't do well with just sitting at home).
It was a success!
Old Navy was open! We got in a little shopping for Kens and then headed to dinner.
Over all it was a wonderful day :)

Thanksgiving Day

In other news, Kenslee rolled over for the first time today.
Yes she is almost 6 months, but lets cut her some slack.
She doesn't even like being on her tummy, so why would she put any effort into rolling onto it?? :)
She also got her first tooth a week ago!
It was so exciting because I really didn't think she would get teeth for a while.
So the day we saw the tooth, we started eating solids!
She doesn't really like to eat yet, but she is working on it.
All around, she is a pretty chill baby.

Now we are just counting down the days till we are going to Cali for my brothers wedding!
He's very sick right now, but hopefully he will feel better by his wedding day :(
Can't wait!

New Room

So before Kenslee was born I did her room in pink and I loved it.
But when Kenslee came out all I could think was "she is a purple girl, not pink"
So I decided I must redo her room, and here is a picture of what it is like now.

I repainted the wall that was once pink, brown.
I changed the bedding to the cutest purple polka dot set.
I hung some cute pictures :)
Now I just need to decide what to do with that ginormous brown wall.
That is where Jayni comes into play...she will help me decide :)
Oh and those cute Pink wood blocks now need to be revamped into purple...
Evonne will help me with that!

I'm so excited, and love how it is turning out. I'm probably crazy to redo it, but it was something that had to be done :)

I'm such a slacker when it comes to blogging.
I'm always busy, and I never think to blog.
Lets be honest, the only thing I want to blog about is Kenslee, and I'm sure that gets old to others.

Kenslee is growing up sooo fast.
Jayni and I always talk about how we couldn't stand when mothers would say "my baby is just growing up so fast and I hate it," blah blah blah.
But now we know the true meaning behind it :(
Kenslee is almost 4 months, and soon (monday) I will have her stats again.
I'm sure she is at least 16 lbs.
I love my chubby baby.

Vince is in school again this semester, and he is liking it.
Well... he is liking one class (EMT).
He comes home with bruises every day because they all have to practice IV's on each other (nasty!).

I'm working at home right now, and LOVING being with Kenslee everyday.
It can be tough, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
My mom is also coming this weekend, and Kenslee cannot wait to see grandma again!! (or is that me that cannot wait to see her!!:)
Either way...I have such a great family!!

Provo Canyon

Vince and I love to walk the trail up Provo Canyon every Sunday.
This last Sunday we took out dog with us and made her climb up
some rocks to see how she would do.
She was great. We also made her jump in the bottom of
the waterfall to see if she would sink or swim. haha.
She swam, so we were very proud. haha.

Also Yesterday I told work I wasn't coming back after all.
I'm so excited that I'm able to stay home with my baby.
She means everything to me and I really can't believe I'm able to be home with her.
She definitely is my whole world :)

Kenslee got a new pillow yesterday so her head doesn't become
any flatter in the back :)
I have no idea how good it is going to work, because the instructions say just position their head away from the flat spot and wala! Well...I think they forgot to mention that babies don't EVER sit still!

Kenslee also slept in her crib last night. I thought it would be a good idea but then quickly remembered that I would have to get up every 5 minutes to put her pacifier in her mouth. She went to bed around 9, slept till 12 and I was so tired, that I just brought her back in our room because I didn't want to keep getting up. Then she ate at 330am and I put her back in her crib. I finally took her out of her crib at 530am when I had yet to fall asleep, and she was crying. Soo...it was a good effort on my part :)

She is quite the happy baby in the morning :)

6 weeks

I feel like time is going by way too fast.
I only have 6 weeks left of maternity leave,
and I'm pretty sure I will DIE when I have to go back to work.
Somehow this little girl has become my whole world!

We have been having so much fun with her.
She had her first 4th of July parade.

We also took her to her first concert (Secondhand Serenade) last weekend.
It was a blast!

Things are going great for us.
I wish I had more to blog about, but it seems she has become our whole world,
and I can't seem to think of anything else besides her :)

I can't believe June is gone already!

I hate that time is going by so fast!
Kenslee is 3 weeks old and I'm loving every second but
if I could pay someone to slow time down, I'd do it in a heart beat!

This month has been nothing short of eventful.
Our gorgeous baby was born.
We celebrated Vince's first father's day.
Vince celebrated his 27th birthday on the 21st.
And soon we will be celebrating 4 years of wedded bliss :)

For Father's day/Vince's birthday we got him a new grill.
He has been dying for one, and I thought it was about time he got it.

We also got pictures taken of Kenslee and they turned out amazing.
I can't wait to get all of them back, but here is one of them.

She really is my everything.
I had no idea how much I was going to love her before she was here.

That is about all the excitement from the King family.
We are enjoying having my mom here and can't wait till Grandma King gets here this weekend!

Kenslee Elaine King is finally here!!

Last Thursday I got up to get ready for work, and my water "partially" broke when I was getting ready. I wasn't too sure that it was my water, so I hesitated for a while to tell Vince. Finally around 8ish I told Vince and he decided we should just wait a little while and see what happens. So we did and about 10 minutes later more water came out and we decided to head to the hospital. Once we got there and got checked in, they wanted to make sure it was actually my water that broke (not sure what else is could have been??) and they did a few tests. The first came back negative and the second positive. Once again, they were unsure weather to keep me. They decided to call my dr and she got in around 11:30am. She did the same test and checked to see if I was progressing. When she was checking me, she ended up breaking my water completely, which I'm guessing there was already a leak in there to begin with. So...it was confirmed...I was having a baby :)

Once they told me I was staying, they asked if I wanted an epidural. I thought "are you joking? They weren't that bad but what the heck! Lets get one!! lol" So At about 12:30 I got the epidural, and it was smooth sailing till about 10pm when it was time to push. I ended up pushing for 3 hours, and still she wasn't coming out on her own. Also she had gone to the bathroom in me because of all the stress and her heart rate was dropping during each contraction so the dr decided to use forceps. I was sad, but so ready to have her out of me, that I didn't complain. Little miss Kenslee was born the next day (June 11th) at 12:55am. She is perfect in every way with all the hair I could have ever dreamed of!!

We are loving being a family of 3 :)

I think things are finally coming together.

We have the babies room all ready :)
I could not be more anxious to get this ball rolling.
When people ask if I'm ready, my response is the same.
I'm ready to not be pregnant, but not ready to have a kid!
But I guess they come together, so If I'm going to be ready for one,
I better be ready for the other.
Here are some pictures of her room.
It is a little cluttered, but most of that stuff will be throughout the house once she is here,
and not all stuffed in her room.

Nightstand that I FINALLY got around to painting white! Also a cluttered basket of toys I plan to clean up.

Last weekend I had my baby shower.
It was awesome.
My best friend Alicia, from California was able to come as well!
I'm so thankful for all the people that showed up and of course all the people that helped plan it.
Thank you to everyone that sent gifts/came/even said congrats.
It really means a lot.

Also, Yesterday another one of my best friends had her baby.

I'm sooo happy and sooo jealous!
We were only about 2 weeks apart but she had him 3 weeks early.
He is perfect in every way.
I cannot wait for our baby girl to get here!

Last night Vince Graduated from the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy.
I COULD NOT be prouder of him.
He has worked so hard this last semester between 40+ hours at work
and 25+ hours at school each week.
He did amazing to me.
We got their early so he could show me everything and take pictures.

So if you have a good pregnancy, does that mean you are doomed when it comes delivery time? I've been reading a lot of blogs lately and It seems like the ones that have the worst pregnancy, have the best delivery. I can't say I've had anywhere near a bad pregnancy...so I'm definitely not ready for what is to come with delivery. But who knows...maybe that will all change in the next 10 weeks :)

I've been really bad at blogging lately and that thought of actually doing it makes me tired. Don't ask me how I don't have the energy to blog, but you want me to paint a room??...sure. These last two weeks have been full of projects, and I just love it. We started painting our house 2 years ago and never finished (yes I know...2 years is a long time!). I've been home alone a lot since Vince is going to school, so finally I just decided it was time to get busy. So I finished painting the downstairs, and my brother came into town this last weekend and helped (and by "helped" I mean did all the work) scraping all the grout from the tile in our kitchen so we could re-grout it again (correctly). I'm so excited to finally not have unfinished projects everywhere!

This week we also set up the babies dresser. I think finding a dresser was one of the hardest decisions I've made so far. I made it way too complicated, but it turned out good. Next time I will try not to read as many reviews on the dresser. I think we have decided not to paint her room, mostly because it will be a lot of work, and we can't agree on a color. lol I don't think she will mind, so I'm over it.

Things have definably changed in the last 5 weeks. I'm ginormous! (well that is how I feel). It is really hard to sit all day at work (maybe that is why I like doing projects at night?) and I have to pee 200 times a day (TMI? possibly.) I had no idea what is was like to have someone sitting on your bladder, but I definitely know now. I'm ALWAYS hot (poor coworkers), and no matter how much makeup I put on, I feel like I look tired. I'm really not that tired. And I eat like no ones business. I can be so full from food, but its like I have a separate pocket for junk food I need to fill up as well :). These seem like minor things, but when they all add up in one day...It makes for a rough night sometimes. But I'm still so excited. I think I go in her room 5 times a day and just sit in there thinking about how much fun it will be to have her here! I can't wait to dress her up and cuddle with her all day :) I might be in for a reality shock, but for now...just let me believe she is going to be my personal doll!

I would say things are going pretty good.
Pregnancy is definitely getting harder, especially the sleeping part but I'm still so excited!
Baby king has her days and nights mixed up!
I use to feel her so much during the day, but now I feel her SO much more at night.
Ill be sure and correct that once she is born...lol
We continue to work on her room in the spare time we do have...

This little girl has more clothes then I'd ever imagined, and that is thanks to our cousin Steph that gave us SOOO many.
Also I might consider myself a little bit of a shopaholic when it comes to baby clothes (don't tell vince).

I had NO idea all the crafts and clothes there are out there for babies!
I can honestly say I LOVE living in Utah with all the crafty moms because I'm not one of them!
KSL is WONDERFUL for finding those moms :)
Like this car seat cover I bought for HALF everywhere else is selling it...

I think we finally decided on paint colors and I can't wait to start painting.
I want to do it this weekend, but we will see with Vince's schedule.

Things are going great otherwise as well.
Vince is doing amazing in school.
He really likes it I can't wait for him to finish the Fire academy (7 weeks!)

My cats :(

Last weekend we decided it was time to get rid of our cats.
I know most people don't care, or even like cats, but we were attached.
We got out cats (Roxy and Charlie) 4 years ago before we were even married.
I remember going to PetSmart and we couldn't decide on one, and they were sisters, so we got both.
We were soooo excited.
Sadly with having a baby, and keeping the house clean, we decided it was time to let them go.
I swore I wouldn't be one of those people that gives away their animals because it wasn't convenient anymore, but here I am...one of them.
I really didn't think I would be that bothered, or sad but the day after they were gone, I was a WRECK! You couldn't look at me without seeing me cry.
I think it was more the change that got to me (and pregnancy), plus the sentimental value they held.
But the good news is, I just called the new owner, and they said they are doing great.
I'm just sooo grateful to have found a great (might even say better) home for them.
I know it was for the best!

But I will always miss them.

How is it possible I'm already 20 weeks?

This whole thing is flying by and all I can think is "am I really ready?"

It feels like just yesterday I was finding out I'm pregnant.

We have wanted this for a while, and I've always assumed it would go by soooo sllloooww.

But it hasn't at all!!

June will be here in NO TIME!

Things are still going great.

I guess I always thought I would have to more to complain about, but I really don't.

I love planning for it.

I love feeling her.

I love talking about it.

I love everything (except attemping to sleep some nights :P)

School is going great for Vince as well.

I think we officially have a month down, and 2 1/2 more to go!

They are working him hard, but he is liking it and that is all I can ask for.

...On Pregnancy (and baby) thus far :)

-It seems like I always have an opinion on what I'm going through but not enough people to listen :)

-Maternity clothes SUCK! I'm swimming in them, but yet my regular pants hurt. I don't understand why they can't make in between pants that don't cost me $100s of dollars :(

-I can feel her move daily, and I LOVE it.

-I look forward to EVERY doctor visit like I'm headed to the candy store!!

-I never got sick in the first trimester, and I'm thankful for that every day!! I want to cry for those that do get sick, because it is hard enough without being sick.

-I'm an emotional wreck!!! There are alot of things I want to cry about that are soooo dumb I'm embarrassed to even talk about them. Like how much I miss this kid when he goes to school almost every night!! --

And then other days I'm bouncing off the walls excited about everything that is to come.

-I feel 10 times bigger than I look. ha

-I'm becoming forgetful. Luckily it isn't the important things but more like "which side do I pump my gas on again???" lol

-I bought my first item for the baby!!! -- this bedding set!

-Getting a cold while pregnant is the worse! Going to the pharmacy and asking what you can take and them giving you that pitty look like "nothing -- deal with it" stinks!

-But no matter what, I CAN NOT wait for things to come. I'm so excited and more thrilled than anything because it has been a long time commin for us.

This holiday was GREAT!

We did a lot of relaxing and hanging out with family.

For Christmas we go together with Vince's sisters and brother-in-law.

We ate all the food we possibly could, and watched Transformers 2.

We also played UNO for a while, and got very competitive :)

I got a wonderful bathrobe and diamond necklace from Vince.

He did way too much for me this year.

We managed to take one picture together:

Next was my birthday, and I LOVED it.

I got to spend the whole day with Vince!

We went shopping, and then to the doctors to hear out little baby's heartbeat again.

Afterwards Vince had a dr appt, and then up to SLC to eat at the Melting Pot.

I was so excited to eat there.

It was VERY good, but $110 good??

I don't think I could ever justify spending that kind of money again. lol

For my Birthday I got a Victorias Secret gift card and a carpet cleaning vacuum I really wanted.

For New Years we went to Vince's Cousins house and hung out with some more family.

YES I made it till midnight...but that was about it. :)

12:01 I told Vince it was time to go home. haha.

We watched tons of movies, and again ate so much.

I don't know if eating all this food was a good idea.

I think the treadmill is calling my name now.

On New Years Day Shane (my brother) flew back into town and stayed with us a few days.

I love having him stay with us.

We watched more movies, and ate out a lot (seems to be the theme for our vacation).

Vince and I also managed to go to the Temple last weekend!

It is part of our News Years goal, we will be going more!

We had a lot of fun together, and I'm so sad it is over.

But...only good things to look forward to, like finding out what we are having FRIDAY!

I was so sure this whole time it would be a girl, and now I'm leaning the other way.

Either way, we are SOOO excited.

Thanksgiving weekend

Thanksgiving weekend was so great this year. I just love not working and spending every minute with Vince.

Wednesday night, Shane came down from BYU-Idaho, and we all went out to eat at Los Hermanos. I love that place, sometimes. You just have to be in the mood for Mexican food. Afterwards we rented a movie together, Hotel Rwanda. Vince and I had never seen it, but Shane had, and said it was really good. He was right. AWESOME movie. If you haven't seen it, do it!

Thursday, Vince, Shane and I went to Vince's grandparents for Thanksgiving dinner. Oh how I appreciate someone else cooking an amazing meal :). The food was sooo good, and I'm still eating it to this day. ha.

Friday, we didn't even attempt to get up in the morning. Crowded stores is just not our idea of fun. We waited till later on in the day, and went shopping a little. I got a cute new purse...and that is when I called it a successful shopping trip. Later on that day we all went to Rebecca's daughters birthday party. She was turning 2 years old! For her birthday we went and saw the Christmas lights at the temple.

(P.S. A new camera is on my list of things to get soon! -- any suggestions would be great)

Saturday, we of course slept in and did a little more shopping (Ikea, to buy the biggest comforter we could find so we would stop fighting over the covers at night. lol). We had to say goodbye to Shane on Saturday, but hopefully it won't be for too long. It was so nice having him stay with us. I love having family around.

Sunday was great as well. Went to Church, and enjoyed playing with our Nursery kids.

So I guess I feel obligated to update today.
We haven't done anything too exciting, but we did go camping last Friday night with some friends. Their parents own a motor home, and it was so nice to sleep in there instead of outside on the ground. Vince put his boy scout skills to work and made a great fire, and we cooked tin foil dinners, and roasted s'mores for dinner. Afterwords we watched a movie, and enjoyed the warmth inside. :)

Saturday we went out to eat at Red Robin (our fav!) and rented some movies. It is a weekly tradition for us to rent movies, and eat as much candy as we can until we feel sick. haha. I don't know what is so appealing about that, but we LOVE it. This week we rented

and one other one that I can't remember because it wasn't good. We like to keep up on our movie watching.

That is about all we have been up to. Vince is still busy with school and work, but he likes it. I'm busy with work, and so excited that Doba Day is Friday and we are going to have a blast.

I feel so lame because I never blog.

We have been so busy lately (well ok, Vince has been).

Vince is taking 16 credit (or something like that) and working full time, so I rarely get to see him. The time I do see him, I'm like a puppy dog just following him around hoping for some attention :) ha.

But the good news is he is really liking school.

When he comes home from his EMT class he tells me all about it,

and I love it.

I'm thinking I need to take up some sort of hobby.

I've always had a hard time finding something that I really enjoy doing (that doesn't cost a lot of money!). I've debated taking a cake decorating class...

that sounds like so much fun!

Then I think maybe I should take some sort of dance class,

but I have no idea.

Then I think maybe just sleeping is a good idea after

working all day. ha

The other day we went and saw UP in the dollar theater.

If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

It is the cutest kids movie I've seen in a while.

(Kinda made me baby hungry being there with TONS of kids).

Also last weekend Vince's aunt Tina got married

in the Bountiful Temple.

It was great to be with his family all weekend.

We had a get together Friday night, and then the wedding Saturday, and Sunday a family dinner. I WISH I had thought to take pictures, but of course I didn't.

And last but not least...I cut my hair.

I've been thinking about it for a while, and Jobi is amazing,

so I Finally did it.

Our Vegas Trip...

I keep meaning to download our pictures from Vegas, but I'm just too lazy. :) Last weekend Vince and I went to Vegas with another couple and had a blast. We walked EVERYWHERE! After the first night of being there, our feet hurt so bad, we could have called it a trip and went home. Ha. But we didnt. We went to 3 malls, and an outlet mall. Walked up and down the strip seeing the water show 4 times (LOVED!). We also went to some good restaurants, and rode the NY NY roller coaster. We had a blast. I love going on mini Vacations with Vince. I think it keeps us sane when work and school come around.

Vince just stated classes again and he is taking

15-16 credits this semester! I'm on my way to getting my hot firefighter :) -- Just love him.

Secondhand Serenade

A few weeks ago Vince and I went and saw Secondhand Serenade in concert at Thanksgiving Point. It was a birthday gift to Vince. They were great live but we really love another band that played before them called We Shot the Moon. They gave away their CD for free, so they have since become a new favorite band. It was a great night! We had a blast!

This last weekend, Vince and I went up to

SLC to visit Rebecca, Ryan and Lydia,

and go on a fun hike with them.

There is a creek that runs in Memory Grove Park,

and you can walk in it, for what felt like miles.

It was such a nice day, and we walked for a good 2 hours,

and had a picnic.

Last week we were able to go to Colorado for a

This last Friday we were able to attend a good friends wedding,
Blair and Jenny.
Vince was Blair's roommate when we first met. They lived together for quite some time and Vince was able to help him out. We go over to his house often since he is so much fun to be around! We are so happy for them, and so thankful we were able to attend their AMAZING sealing!
After their wedding they had a lunch for everyone, and then we went to their reception. They were both beaming with joy. I love weddings!

St, George weekend

This weekend we went to St. George and had a BLAST! It's funny how you can go only 3 hours away and not spend all of your money and have such a great time. We did so many things this weekend and enjoyed just spending all of our time together. Here are some pictures from the 3-day weekend.

Here is where we stayed the first night. Jayni's Aunt was so nice to let us stay with her until our hotel room was available. Her house was amazing and we enjoyed every minute in amazement!

That night we went out to eat at Texas RoadHouse for the first time. I have heard some good things about it, and really wanted to go. I have to say the rolls were to die for just as everyone told me, but the food...ehhh. Not that great. No one said they had great food. I even got a steak hoping it would be great, and I wasn't impressed. o well...guess I will just have to go back for the rolls. :)

The next night we were able to layout with Jayni and Ben. Jayni is one of my best friends, and work buddy. They drove down with us.

After laying out all of us decided to take a hike up to Dixie rock. It was so much fun just to go around and explore everything. The boys were in heaven. ha

That day we also went and saw Terminator Salvation. We thought is was really good, but we love all of those action hero movies. Once that was over we went over to Craig's (Vince's good friend that is down there for summer sales) house and decided to go on another hike that goes into a cave. I didn't think it would be that cool, but we decided to go. It ended up being so awesome! We took a trail for about 15 minutes and then we came to a big hole in the ground, and you have to climb down it to get to the cave. Once we were down in the hole, we had to climb through all of these rocks to get to the end of the cave. Once you get to the cave it is lit up with glow sticks everywhere. It was awesome! I took some pictures but you can't see how cool it was since it was only lit up by glow sticks. People would break the glow sticks and spray them all over everyone and you would blend in with the rocks. It was really awesome to see.

Just imagine climbing this in the dark...we came really unprepared with only one flashlight for all of us.

Don't ask why some of the guys thought it would be cool to take off their shirts and hike...boys will be boys.

The next day we all went to Craig's pool and relaxed until we went to San Hallow Lake. Once we got there, we decided rock jumping was a great idea. ha. I don't know what I was thinking, and I'm NOT a brave person but I decided to try it. We got some good pictures of us jumping off the rock. Don't let the pictures fool you. I was shaking the whole time climbing up the rock and jumping. It took me a while to actually do it.

Last night Vince and I went to the Celtic Women Concert. I'm sure most of you have no idea who that is, but they were amazing! They are a group of girls that sing and one girl that plays the violin crazy good :) We had a blast last night!

Well, it seems that I haven't blogged in quite some time. Most know why... but I thought I would let you know we are actually doing things. :)

Last night Vince and I went bowling with another couple. It was a lot of fun. First we went out to eat with some friends Vince works with, and then we went cosmic bowling. I'm an awful bowler, and last night wasn't any different. I did beat Vince in one game, and I had to take a picture of the score to prove it. But that will probably never happen again since he is a lot better.

Saturday with the Fam...

Yesterday Paul went to Idaho for the whole day to service machines while Evonne and Savannah stayed home. I was able to hang out with them all day. It was so much fun. We went to McDonald's for breakfast, watched Baby Mama :), made lunch together, did Evonne and Savannah's hair (they are taking family pictures next month so I had to practice), went to the bowling alley and played video games (that they own), got some fake tattoos out of the machine and put them on in the public bathroom...and went to the Mall where we found a VERY hot jacket for Evonne. I couldn't of asked for a better saturday with them.

Wednesday night Jayni and I were able to go to the Provo Temple together. She has asked if I wanted to join her since she was trying to make it a monthly goal to go, and of course I said yes! we had so much fun going, and of course we have to stop by the cafeteria for a yummy snack. Last night Vince and I went out to eat and to the dollar theater (best invention EVER!). We saw Yes Man. Someone told us it was pretty funny so we decided to go. I have to say it was really funny. Some parts were a little iffy to me, but over all i liked it. I'm so not a fan of Jim Carey, but I think I like him more after this movie.

This week Vince and I have made a goal to spend more time with each other...well it was more like I said "You are NEVER home!" and he said "sorry", and has been home a lot more this week :). It has been so great to have him at home with me. Usually he is really busy with Work and School, and going to the gym, that I don't see him as much as I would like during the week. This week has been different, and I love it. I know it won't always be this way because he does have to catch up in life now because of the week break :), but I'm still glad he made the effort to make me happy this week. I just want him to know I love him and I'm VERY thankful for it.

Valentine's weekend has been great! On Saturday I had to work in the morning, but that is ok, because Vince had school. So after work and school we hurried home and went snowboarding the rest of the day! It was so great. We were so excited to go and had been looking forward to it all week. After snowboarding, Vince told me he wanted to take me somewhere to eat...(yikes!). He really wanted to go to Macaroni Grill because that had been our first date, but we got there too late the wait for 2 hours! So we settled for Costa Vida :). After that I had to go back to work but It was a great day.
Yesterday we went to Church and then to his grandparents house for dinner. It was so nice to see everyone and get a free meal!
And today we are going snowboarding again! After that we are probably going to attempt going out to eat or to a movie. (wish us luck).

I didn't take any pictures and I really regret it! O well.

Our Weekend ...

This weekend we had so much fun together. We were able to go to the movies:

Which was a really good movie. Very intense if you ask me :)

On Saturday we went out to eat with my family and had a blast. Even though we only live an hour away, it feels like we never get together enough, so that was really nice.

Then after we went out to eat Vince and I decided to go to the mall...(bad idea)!
We found a package deal for snowboards and we ended up buying them! It really was a great deal, and I wanted one of the snowboards they were selling, so we each got the package, and now I have to sell the other board I bought. HA. I know, I should have just stuck with what I had, but It actually worked out to be cheaper if I bought it from the store. Now we are just really excited to have everything and finally be able to go. I wish I would have taken more pictures of us being so excited last night.... we put on all of our stuff and pretended to snowboard in the house...(yes this is what we do when we are excited). I'm so lucky to have found someone that isn't to proud to act like a kid :)

Snowboarding!!

It was my first time snowboarding this weekend, and I actually did really good. I was so worried I would hate it because everyone kept telling me their first time sucks. Well, I didn't think it sucked at all. I really liked it, and yes I fell a lot but it was so worth it.

(Vince and I are really looking forward to taking it up this winter...if I could only find the gear for cheaper!!! -- THANKS to everyone that let us borrow stuff)

This last week and a half I've been able to have my family here and it has been so great. They stayed with Vince and I for a few days, and I loved it. My mom would cook for us, and clean...my dad would keep us in line :), and my brother would put up with my shopping addiction! We had so much fun going to the movies, the mall, the temple, church, and watching tons of rented movies together. I really wish they lived closer so we don't have to go another 2 1/2 years before we all get together again.

Today has been so much fun! At work, our dept decided to find a family in need and buy them all gifts! It has been a blast to put this together. They have 4 children and we all bought something for them. Our boss bought a whole Christmas dinner for them, and we all took a kid and SPOILED them. It is so much fun. I'm not sure why I haven't done this every year?? I can't wait till they receive all of there gifts tonight. unfortunately I have to work, but I can't wait to hear about their reaction!

Holiday Lights

Every year it never feels like Christmas since I have moved away from home, but this year I'm determined to get into the Chritmas mood. I've come to believe that is because I don't do anything pertaining to Christmas (i.e. see the lights, donate time/money, go to Christmas programs). So this year I'm determined to! I've been to Vince's work party, which was really nice, I'm going to the Relief Society party tonight, and last night we went to Thanksgiving point and drove throgh the lights display. It was so nice to finally do something that makes me feel like Christmas is near. Here are some pictures from it (they are from my phone since I always seem to forget my camera).

Friday was Vince's Work Christmas Party. We were able to enjoy a GREAT meal and some stand up comedians. It was nice to see who he works with, and how much he enjoys working with them. I didn't take any good pictures there, but I took one before we left. I really need to work on the whole picture taking concept :)

Black Friday!!

I had no idea shopping on a crazy day like Black Friday would be so much fun! :)

I've never been the one to wake up before 7am...for anything, so this day wasn't any different. I set my alarm for 5 am and turned it right off till about 8:45am :). I wanted to go to Walmart and see some of the deals there. I especially wanted the $1.50 towels, and I thought "no one is going to get up that early just for towels". I was wrong. So we got up, and we were at Walmart by 9am (record time!) . I asked one of the associates where the $1.50 towels were and she laughed at me. Apparently that was a joke. She nicely said they didn't have them anymore. Well we were determined to find some...and guess what?! WE DID! 10 towels! Yes, people just throw things everywhere and don't put anything away, so we searched and were able to find 10 towels which made us really happy. They I remembered the 32 piece dinner set for $19. Again, we searched everywhere and we able to find one set left in a completely difference aisle. We also go a hair trimmer, and some other needed things. Then it was time to hit the mall. We were able to get 25% of at Express for Vince, and about 10% off for me at the Buckle (nothing great), but it was still a good day. So lesson learned...you don't have to wake up early to get the deals you are looking for (unless you are looking for the 50 in. TV at Best Buy....then you are out of luck).

Either way...I really hope this one day boosted our economy like we were counting on!

Weekend Project

This weekend I decided it was time to repaint my bathroom. When we moved in, over a year ago, I wanted my bathroom to be purple, and so I did just that. Well, after painting it I was able to see that i'm not as big a fan of purple on my walls as I thought I would be. Vince HATED it and I didn't do a good job painting it, so...I thought I would paint it a basic color then I can change the decor in the bathroom whenever I wanted to. It was a long project, but it was fun. Here are some pictures of the finished results.

This year we went to Vince's grandparents house in Bountiful for Thanksgiving. It was so nice to be with his family all day and hang out. We were able to see a lot of people we haven't seen in a while. The food was AMAZING and I'm so thankful we have his family close for somewhere to go.

Second Job

This month I started a second job. I work with a friend decorating cutrual halls for weddings. It is a blast to work with her! We have so much fun together. Last night we had to work in Sandy, and it was so much fun to drive with her and talk about life. I think that is all I need sometimes. We set up tents inside the cutrual halls, so it looks like your reception is in an elegant place, not a gym :) We are taking down a wedding tonight, and then I don't have one till Dec 12th, which I can't wait for! I love weddings, and I love seeing how couples put their weddings together.
I'm always thinking of how I would do my wedding different if I had a chance to do it again (of course with the same guy :)...does anyone else think of this?

Ring

This last weekend Vince and I went to the Mall and were able to find the other ring to go with my set. I've always loved the look of 3 "wedding" rings instead of just two. We have never been able to find the exact wedding band again (after looking everywhere!), but this last weekend we did for a STEAL! So I finally have my whole set...2 1/2 years later :)

Now I just have to get them saudered together (and cleaned!).

SUSHI

So over the weekend Vince took me to this GREAT sushi restruant, Happy Sumo. I was a little hesitant since I didn't know how much I was going to like it (i've had sushi before but still was unsure). It was great! I'm a BIG FAN of sushi now and I can't wait to go back! Everyone that thinks they don't like sushi, you just wait till you try theirs!

Doba Day 2008

Well Doba Day is finally over. It was a lot of fun. We watched the Office a few times, Watched SNL for a while, and ate candy and soda like no ones business. :) The whole day was one big party, and then we had a family BBQ at 5 for everyone to come to. It was great. I think it is great to hear people say they have never heard of such a thing, because it makes me appreciate it more. It really is great to have one day that all the employees come together and have so much fun. We had The Wii and Xbox going all day. Guitar Hero was a hit ALL DAY. We also managed to not break as many things, but they still wanted to run over a printer and two monitors with the Doba truck. I'm not a big fan of breaking things, but the owners are, so what they say goes. Also an old friend showed up to surprise up, which was GREAT. Well here are the final pictures from it.

Doba Day

Every year, the company I work for celebrates their "birthday". Tomorrow is officially Doba Day (as we call it) again. People get out of control here. I can't wait! This will be my 3rd Doba Day and I can only imagine how it will go. The first year I was here, they took an old car and smashed it in the packing lot, along with broke a very expensive plasma TV. Also we had a massage team come and give massages all day (that was GREAT). We also had a Doba talent show that got out of hand, but money is always given, which is great. Last year was a little calmer. They took a chain saw and cut up a table, had pizza and cake, and music playing all day. Everyone in the compnay dresses up as well. It is like a Doba Halloween party, except
everything we wear is green (the Doba color). Here is a few pictures from the years past:

Movie Night

This weekend we went and saw Max Payne. I thought it was going to be good by the description, but I can't say I was happy with it. First off, had no idea what was going on for the first 1/2 of the movie, and then when you finally figure out why everyone is delusional, it becomes a little slow. The action was good, but still a little odd. My advise...wait until it comes to the dollar theater :)

Visit From my Dad

Last weekend my dad was able to come and stay with us a for a few days. It was so nice to have him here, and I can't wait till my whole family comes back for Christmas this year. We didn't do a whole lot but it was still fun. Paul and Evonne also went on a little trip so I was able to watch Savannah as well last weekend. We had fun going on walks, watching conference and going to the park. Also my dad found us a law mower for $5 at a garage sale!!! I don't think it gets much better than that :) Thanks for coming dad!
